A delicious, high quality nantes hybrid that is hardy enough to grow even through Winter. The tender and sweet roots are excellent eaten raw or roasted whole as baby carrots. Ideal for the home gardener this variety does not produce bitter green shoulders. Harvests stay pristine over a long period of time.
Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance.
| How To Grow | Sow thinly in rows 30cm (12in) apart. Cover lightly with 5mm (1/4in) of soil. Firm gently and keep moist. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks. Seedlings appear in 10-21 days.
Alternate early harvests between the young carrots to allow room for the remaining crop to mature. Further thinning is not required if sown thinly. Keep well-watered to prevent crop from splitting. Ensure beds are kept weed free and moist at all times. |
