Delivery Policy

Shipping costs vary depending on whether your order is a standard order, express order, or a larger order. You can find the exact delivery cost in the checkout, before placing your order.

Shipping costs are unfortunately a by-product of the convenience of online shopping. Obanato absorbs most of this cost where we can, but the charitable nature of what Obanato does makes this a difficult task.

Standard Delivery

Standard orders incur a delivery fee based on your location.

This covers most orders and is up to 22kg in weight. Small items, like clothing, books, stationery and pet food, will likely only incur a standard delivery fee.

We source the most competitive delivery rates from our freight partners and constantly review them.

Free delivery on orders over $150 via standard delivery. (Excluding large or bulky items)

Free delivery on orders of packet seeds that fit into a standard DL envelope via standard delivery.

Express Delivery

Unfortunately, Obanato does not offer express shipping as a standard option. However, Obanato can organise express shipping at the customer’s request by emailing our customer service team at Hello@Obanato.com.au. Please note, express shipping is considerably more expensive than standard shipping.

Large Deliveries

Larger orders or bulky items may incur additional fees as they cost our freight partners more to deliver.

A large order could be either an order weighing more than 22kg or a bulky item that incurs a volumetric kilogram charge. This cost is based on your location and varies from state to state, in line with our carrier fees.

Large items, like outdoor adventure equipment will likely incur additional fees.

For large items you can email Hello@Obanato.com.au ahead of placing your order and our customer service team can work with you to find a shipping solution.

Delivery Time Frames

Please allow up to 3 days to process your order. Once your order is shipped you will receive an email with tracking information. It can take up to 48 hours after you receive your shipping notification for your tracking details to become active with the courier.

Standard Delivery

Once you have received your shipping notification, please allow:

  • Metro delivery within 3-5 business days
  • Regional delivery within 7-10 business days
  • Remote delivery within 14-20 business days

Please note, your order may arrive in multiple packages from multiple freight partners. Tracking information will be emailed to you upon dispatch.

Obanato always strive to ensure on-time delivery, but there may be instances when packages may be delivered past the estimated date. Unfortunately, these instances are beyond our control.

Obanato Freight Partners

Obanato uses several freight partners to deliver our online orders. Depending on your order, it will be shipped with one or more of our freight partners. The tracking link in your shipping confirmation email(s) will take you directly to the freight partners website to track your package.

Please note that for large items, delivery to your door is at the discretion of our freight partners. They may be unable to deliver your parcel to your doorstep where it is difficult to do so e.g. delivering to an apartment or housing complex etc.

Change of Address After an Order is Placed

Once your order has been placed, unfortunately, we are unable to change your delivery address. Once you receive your shipping confirmation email, it may be possible for the freight partner to change your delivery address or redirect your order. Please contact the freight partner directly. If your order can’t be delivered it will be returned to our warehouse. A refund will then be processed (less the shipping portion) and takes 3-5 business days to be processed back into your account. If you still want to purchase the item/s you can order online again.

Authority to Leave

All orders are booked in with our freight partners as authority to leave.

Please note:

  •  If the freight partner believes the location is not secure or they can’t access the property, they will not leave the package unattended.
  •  Obanato and as an extension, the freight partner will not be responsible for any lost or stolen packages.

If your package is unable to be delivered, our freight partner will leave a card directing you with the next steps or return the item/s to our warehouse.

  •  For Australia Post deliveries, your package will be left at a nearby collection point (e.g. pharmacy, newsagent or post office)
  •  For all other deliveries, you will need to contact the freight partner directly to arrange redelivery.
  • You may be required to sign for your delivery.
  • If the item/s are returned to our warehouse, we’ll refund the cost of the items, excluding the delivery fee which is non-refundable in these circumstances.

Unforeseen circumstances

In rare cases we may not be able to deliver to certain addresses that our freight partners deem to be unsafe, inaccessible or in certain remote areas, e.g. narrow dirt roads, steep driveways etc. In these instances, our freight partners are often not aware of the issue until they attempt the delivery. Please also note that delivery to your door is at the discretion of our freight partners. They may be unable to deliver your item/s to your doorstep where it is difficult to do so e.g. delivering big and bulky items, delivering to an apartment complex etc. We acknowledge that failed deliveries are disappointing for our customers and ask that if you do live in a location which is difficult to access, please use the delivery address of a local post office or newsagency to collect your order from or email Hello@Obanato.com.au ahead of placing your order and our customer service team can work out a solution.
