Introducing Rosewood Eucalyptus Oil
At Rosewood Eucalyptus Oil, we’re not just a business — we’re a family proudly continuing an Australian tradition that’s been passed down through generations.
Our story truly began in 1983 when Merv and Marion Piper started the business on the family farm in Rosewood, a small country town tucked near the Snowy Mountains in southern NSW. But the heart of our heritage stretches back even further, to the late 1930s, when my grandfather, Arthur Piper, was cutting and distilling Eucalyptus oil during the industry’s golden years. Back then, Eucalyptus oil wasn’t simply a product — it was a lifeline for families working the land.
My father, Merv, began cutting leaves at just 14 years old and never looked back. His dedication, skill, and love for the craft shaped our family, and he passed that knowledge on to Steve. Today, Steve is proud to be the third generation of Pipers in the Eucalyptus oil industry. Though he’s now based in Perth working in mining, he returns to the family farm whenever he can — because the land, the history, and the legacy still run deep.
We continue to hand-harvest our oil from the Eucalyptus Dives variety — Broadleaf Peppermint — which grows naturally in southeast NSW. This traditional, hands-on method helps us preserve the purity and quality that have defined our oil for decades.
At Rosewood Eucalyptus Oil, we’re proud to remain 100% Australian owned and operated. We care deeply about our product, our customers, and the legacy we’re honoured to uphold. Whether you’ve been using Eucalyptus oil for years or are just discovering its benefits, thank you for supporting our family and our homegrown Aussie business.
